We just got home about an hour ago. The appointment with Dr. Lyle went really well. It's always good to see him! He said that she was probably having trouble with aspiration with the large cross-cut nipples. He's glad that I went and changed the nipples last week. He said we were glad we got in to do a swallow study yesterday and is also glad we are changing to a single-slit nipple.
He said her weight/development looked great! I also talked to the Nutritionist today and we have her all squared away with calories per ounce per bottle. She also is giving a prescription for Simply Thick... that stuff is expensive. She said now that Blair is on Medicaid (because she was in the hospital more than 30 days and she is considered disabled) they will cover it. She was going to call the Home Medical place and give them our information.
We were there for over an hour today and Baylee was ready to go by the time we left. Britt left early this morning to head back home (he borrowed one of his Dad's cars) because he had an appointment this morning.
Something funny for you guys... by the end of the appointment I had both kids on my lap. Blair was pulling my hair with one hand and scratching Baylee with the other. Baylee was telling her that she couldn't scratch her (like she understood her or something). TOO FUNNY! She was talking to her like she should understand what she was saying.
Blair slept most of the way and Baylee slept a couple of hours on the way back. By the time I got to Alma the temp had dropped and it was misting... YES... I thought the roads were going to get back again like they did a couple of weekends ago when we were trying to get back from Cabot. UGH.. I'm glad I'm home!
