Power and more Ice pics!

Well, our power came back on about 2 hours or so after it went off. I talked to my neighbor this morning and she was surprised when it came on so soon. We didn't want to chance it so we stayed at Mom's anyway. We got home around 11:00 this morning. I took off to Wal-Mart to get more paint and painting supplies. I painted our dining room (which was a burgundy/brown color - not my choice... it was like that when we bought it) dark navy blue. The actual name is Pea Coat and it's VERY pretty! I was impressed with it. After I completely finished the dining room today and got it all back together I started on the kitchen. It's a yellow/gold color. I have a lot of red and black accents in my kitchen so I think it will look good. I also have dark brown hard wood floors and I think it will go well with that. So far it looks really good. I have the worst part done and now have about 1/2 left. I decided to quit when my hand started hurting from painting around my trim and windows. I will post pics of the kitchen when it's completely done. For now you can see the dining room.
Let me remind you that this is ALL ICE... NO SNOW!

The dining room looks great! I'm hoping I have some carpenters today so I can finally show pics of my entry way. So far it's not done.

And yeah, that's some pretty crazy ice.

And I do not envy you that ice. It's going to be 71* here today...

The dining room is gorgeous! I can't wait to see the kitchen.

I am guessing that the dinosaurs are all gone in your part of the world, huh?

Man, that ice is amazing!

I like the color you picked, but I AM a blue fan, so I may be biased.
