My crazy life! You know... beach, 4 month shots and SEIZURES!

Okay, so the last week and a half has been crazy. As you guys know we were at the beach last week in Destin. We had SO much fun and I'm so glad I decided to go and take the girls! I also took my friends 2 kids... Luke 7 and Lauren 12. They had so much fun and Lauren was such a big help mostly with Baylee in the car and at the beach house!

We stopped half way in Vicksburg, MS and stayed the night where the kids swam until around 9:30. They had a blast. We left around 9 the next morning and arrived at the beach around 5:30. We unpacked, let my BIL go to Wal-Mart for us and we took all the kids to the beach. The waves were so small so we let them get in with their clothes on and play for a while until it got dark. The next day we got up and headed to the beach where the waves were HUGE... we are talking 5-10 foot swells! They would only let us get in knee deep because of the undertoe. The next day the water was even worse and they had a few drownings so they wouldn't let ANYONE in the water. Plus, the waves were washing in all kinds of jellyfish. It was overcast, breezy and nice and cool so we just hung out. Blair had her own beach tent that was UVA/UVB protected. We also bought a camping fan that hooked to the inside of the tent with a magnet. She did great the whole week being out there.

On the way back from the beach we stopped in Jackson, MS. Once again I let the kids swim. I had to leave a day early because Lauren had to be back Saturday night for her "back to school" party she was throwing for her friends. That was okay because we were all ready to get home and get out of the car. I ended up getting pulled over about an hour from home. :) I only got a written warning. I was going 82 in a 70. Not too bad... I think the State Trooper felt bad for me since I had 4 kids in the car (one being an infant) so he let me off. I told him I really didn't want a ticket and said I was just ready to get home! I guess that worked!

Blair is doing all sorts of fun stuff these days. She will mock you ANYTIME you smile. She has got to be the happiest baby! I'm loving it! She will also mock you anytime you stick your tongue out! We took her for her 4 month shots yesterday. She weighed 9lbs 15oz and was 21 1/4 inches in length. I forgot to ask about percentiles and everything since we were also dealing with Baylee's episode that happened on Monday night.

So Monday night we were at Gymboree Play and Music. Blair's Occupational Therapist (Julie) owns this along with another girl whose husband I went to High School with. She needed 3-5 year olds to help with soccer training for their teachers. Baylee was the only girl there, but she had a blast and since she had so much fun I'm going to enroll her in a School class they have once a week. Anyway... so after we got done she was out in the lobby with a couple of kids playing. All of a sudden she comes to the door screaming that her belly hurt. Britt right away picked her up and after that her eyes rolled to the back of her head, her lips turned blue and her right side went very straight. She started moaning and Julie got on the phone with 911. Julie's twin Sister I guess has had seizures and she said that's what happens. So, the paramedics got there and Baylee wanted nothing to do with them. Luckily we were about 200 feet from the hospital so I got her in the car and took her there while Britt went home to get Blair put to bed. They had to do an IV where I about lost it. I had to lay on top of Baylee and hold her down while she is screaming for me to make them stop. I'm crying... she's crying. It was AWFUL! They also took a urine sample which came back okay. They went ahead and did a CT scan which (THANK GOD) came back normal as well. Her white blood cell count was 17.2 and normal is 14.5 so that was a little elevated. No fever and nothing else wrong. So, she finally got to come home with Britt around 1 Tuesday morning (I had to come home at midnight and pump). She did great with her CT Scan. She made me stay in there and hold her hand... I'm so glad the tech let me do that! She was so brave and kept her little eyes closed and her head still the entire time!

The Dr. said yesterday that this just could be a one time thing, but we have to watch her closely the next 48-72 hours because if she has another one more than likely that's when it will be. So everyone let's just pray for nothing like this to ever happen again!

Normally I'm the calm parent, but I will have to admit that I freaked out in the worst way!

Today we have Physical Therapy at 12:30 and nothing else... I need to rest! My crazy life has made me tired!

Hugs - Tiffany

PS - When I get more time I will post some beach pics out here

Seizures suck! Hopefully that was a one-time thing and you won't have to deal with that ever again--I say a prayer.

I would say things are pretty crazy in your life!

I'm glad the beach was a good time!

How scary about Baylee, I wonder what caused that to happen? Hopefully it will never ever happen again!
