Pain....or lack there-of

I've had a LOT of people ask me if her Omphalocele is painful for her. It's not! It even surprises me sometimes! She literally is the best baby ever and always smiles. She even sleeps on her belly and that doesn't even seem to bother her! I think it's just been a part of her for so long that she's use to it.

I'm worried that after surgery she will change. I want her to keep being this wonderful baby that she is now. I don't want her to hurt or be in pain! I don't think any Mom wants to see their child hurt.

Yesterday was another big milestone. When Blair woke up I checked her bottom teeth to see if they had popped through and they HAD! I could feel both of them!

We had a wonderful dinner at my aunt's house. Turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, jellied cranberries, rolls and the pies were to DIE FOR! My Mom made a Chocolate silk, Strawberry and of course Pumpkin.

Anyway... we are headed to Cabot this morning. I've got to finish packing! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thankgiving!

Hugs - Tiffany

Aw. I can relate...and I think it just takes a few weeks after surgery for them to get "back to normal" as far as personality and attitude. I wondered about the pain, too.
