Just 32 more days until Blair's surgery date! Am I nervous... yes, on the inside I'm FREAKING OUT! Everyone is so amazed at how calm I am. To be honest I'm not calm! I know that she will be okay and everything will come out good. I'm just a positive thinker. It's just the thought that my 9 month old will be put under and undergo a MAJOR surgery in a little over a month. Not to mention we will be 6 hours from home staying in a hotel with our 3 1/2 year old.
My friend Sanne called me yesterday to let me know her and her son will be there. I haven't seen her in a year and it's going to be good to know she will be there. They moved to Indianapolis a year ago and we haven't seen them since then. Hopefully me and the girls... maybe Britt too will be able to take a trip up to see them once things calm down... maybe in the Spring time. St. Louis is about half way for each of us!
Blair will have her MRI on Dec. 26th. She's finally getting over her little respiratory thing she had and I'm thankful for that! They will put her to sleep for it and I'm just hoping she does okay with the anesthesia. This will be the first time she will have it.

some day, when you're on Dateline talking about how she cured cancer or something while her oscar winning sister beams quietly, you'll think back to all of this and realize it made her who she is.
At least she's having anesthesia before the actual surgery so you know what to expect on that front.
I can only imagine how scary this is, but I just know she'll do great and be just fine and better than ever!
I will keep your family in my prayers and you keep us posted!
