These conversations...

with my 4 year old. I never expected anything like this to come out of her mouth. But, I remember having this conversation with my Mom at her age.

Baylee: Momma?
Me: Yes, honey!
Baylee: I don't want you to go to heaven.
Me: Well, we eventually all go to heaven, but I'm not right now.
Baylee: I don't want you to next week!
Me: I'm not!

I specifically remember having this SAME conversation with my Mom when I was her age. I was sitting on the couch (just like her and I are) and told my Mom I didn't want her to die! I don't know why I told her that or why we had that conversation. Maybe just learning about death and stuff. I know we were talking about Britt's old dog he had before we even got together. I was telling her that Zack is in heaven now and I didn't even get to meet him. So, I think that sparked something with it!

My son was 6 when my dad died and we had to reassure him we weren't going any where anytime soon.

I'm kind of scared about facing these questions in the future! Hard stuff! You want them to know the truth, but not to be scared. Ugh!

I had to laugh at this--Mia does the same thing.
