Dr. reports

Blair....

Our little Blair has a little condition called Alopecia Areata (basically an area of hair loss). So, we will need to take her to see a Dermatologist and see if they want to treat it right now. Being that she is so young and she just had surgery. Dr. Cadle said sometimes they treat it with steroids. We will have to see what happens with that. I just hope it stays in this isolated area that is hidden and doesn't move to other areas. She did say it can be stressed related.... and we've had some of that lately!

Baylee....

Well, Dr. Cadle said that she still had fluid behind her ears, but nothing was still infected! THANK GOODNESS! We did discuss her tonsils once again and she is encouraging me to make the call myself to an ENT to talk about having her tonsils removed. She said her tonsils aren't necessarily big, but she doesn't have the room from the back of her throat up to her tonsils. So, we might be looking back to that MIGHT be causing her hypertension. And, if that's the case then I'm ALL FOR them getting taken out! After all, kids have this done all the time right?

Tonight when we got home Baylee was worn out. She actually fell asleep in the car on the way home. We went by my Mom's house to see if she was home. I was going to make her go to bed early so we went in to get in the bath. She started SCREAMING when she got on the potty! I'm thinking... once again she has a bladder infection... UGH! Off we go to the after-hours clinic to have her pee pee in a cup! At least they weren't busy and we were in and out pretty quick! Bladder infection here we are! I guess we need to start putting the Premarin cream on again to help with everything. I won't go in to detail about that! Basically her urine is getting trapped and keeps getting infected.

So, another $54.00 spent on medical appointments...over 30 minutes in the drive-thru at Wal-Mart.... but making my babies feel better... PRICELESS!

Ugh. I sure hope you guys can get a little relief from all this doctor business. It's so exhausting!

Not sure about Blair's case, but I know when I had surgery a few months ago I was told that the "trauma" of sedation and surgery often causes hair loss. It did. It seems to be getting better on it's own, so I hope it's the same for my little birthday twin!

If it's not one thing it's another! My son, who is now 10 had his tonsils out @ age 4. Tonsils AND adnoids, to be exact. He had sleep apnea. Which was no longer after his surgery.

Here's to hoping you'll have some relief in the near future! You must be exhausted! ((HUGS))

Bella had her adnoids removed and ear tubes put in and it has made a world of difference!!! Before she would get a new ear infection while she was still on antibiotics for the first one. We went to Dr. Mellon in Bentonville-she does adnoids and tonsils on kids all the time and is super awesome with them. I'd highly recommend her.

Wouldn't it be great if all you had to do was have Baylee's tonsils out and that would solve her problem?

I had a friend who used to get a LOT of bladder infections and she started taking a shot of cranberry juice every morning and she said that really helped.
