I've got pics!

I finally got some new pics to post for you all! Well, it's been a whirlwind of a day already! Everyone is calling to schedule Blair's discharge. She is STILL breakin' outta jail on Friday and we couldn't be happier. :) We are trying to set up her supplies to be delivered to the house. The lady said they would send us home with a few weeks of supplies. If we have to pay for them out of our pocket we are looking at $200.00/month just for the dressing changes. Hopefully the insurance company will be kind enough to supply those.

They removed her NG (nose) feeding tube this morning. So, she no longer has tape or anything on her sweet little face. Only her oxygen canula. She is taking all of her bottles and they haven't had to tube feed her for a couple of days now.

She is scheduled for a swallow study tomorrow morning. I have to be at the hospital around 9 to go down with her to it. The Occupational Therapist will also be there feeding her while they take the x-rays. And, she said she would be able to tell me right then how she is doing with it. This is just to make sure the nectar thickness they are doing is working. She is not showing signs of aspirating, but they just want to make sure before they send us home.

We are also getting a car bed for her to ride in. It takes up 2 seat spaces in the car... so it's a good thing we got the Yukon XL. There is no way it would of fit in my Avalanche truck that I had. She will have to ride in the very back seat. I will post pics once we get home of it.
I'm scheduled for a CPR class Thursday afternoon and then training after that on the oxygen machine and pulsox machine.

I will be glad once we are home and settled! I'm kind of glad this is a long weekend to have with our family all under one roof and to get everything situated!

Hugs - Tiffany
