My sweet girl is sick!

Baylee started running a low-grade fever Saturday night. She woke up yesterday with 103 fever. So, I took her to the ER. With no other symptoms I figured it was something viral, but wanted to get her checked out just in case. Well, it was viral. Her ears looked good and her strep test came back negative. So, indeed it is viral. She ran a fever all day yesterday. When I would alternate Ibuprofen and Tylenol sometimes it would take down her fever and sometimes it wouldn't. She woke up at 3 this morning with another 103 fever and she said she was freezing. She would shiver... it was so sad. So, I gave her more medicine and a big glass of apple juice with 1/2 water. She drank all of that and went back to sleep.

This morning she woke up around 10 and so far no fever. So, I hope it stays gone!

Thanks to everyone for answering my questions about "where you live". I promise I won't stalk you! I just think it's interesting to hear where everyone is from! I have to say I have not visited any of the places that you all live except Katy... of course who hasn't been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras at least. I would like to go back for Mardi Gras and then again when it's not Mardi Gras to really take in some sites!

Thystle - I have heard that Phoenix is great for the weather... not so much in the Summer when it's 120 out, but through the winter! Can you still swim in your pools there in the winter?

Ron - I have been to parts of KY... mostly Paducah, but not anywhere further East than that.

Lorrie - I'm pumped about ONE DAY visiting New York City! Everyone that has gone for a visit say it's worth it... there's so much to do. If only I were single with no kids I would move there in a heartbeat! :)

Amy - I heard Asheville, NC is just beautiful. I have always wanted to visit there, so I will put it on my list of places to visit!

OHN - I haven't been to OH either. I will be in Indianapolis in late March to visit one of my best friends. She moved from here to San Antonio and then there. She still thinks of AR as her home though and misses it!

Evil Twin's Wife - Never been to WV either. I heard it's beautiful though! I didn't realize the winter's were so brutal. I pretty much just need to visit the entire East coast!

Katy - I've been to New Orleans and LOVE IT there! We went for Mardi Gras one year and I was in love with the city. We camped while we were there. Heck, why pay 200/night for a hotel when we pitched a tent for 15/night. As long as I had a hot shower I was good to go! That was a FABULOUS trip and I want to do it again soon!

Hugs to all of you!
Tiff

Sorry Baylee is sick. I'm glad to hear she's on the mend, though! Actually, the winters here in WV aren't usually too bad. We just had more snow this year than normal. Blech.

Sorry to hear that Bailey is sick. I was looking forward to seeing her in library tomorrow. I will see her next week though.

I wanted to tell you that I just found out that I am 6 weeks pregnant. I plan to post it to my blog tonight after dinner and SG is asleep. I am just trying to get my house back together after the long trip.

Glad to hear that Baylee is better. All last week, Katy and I had something viral and it's finally going away! Hopefully you and Blair can stay healthy!

I completely agree with what you said about NYC. I would too if I were single with no kiddos! (But I wouldn't trade 'em for anything!) Let me know when you are back down here!

Well, the next time you're around, let me know! We know how to have a good time here--even if it's not Mardi Gras. Actually, this weekend they're having this thing called Family Gras in Metairie (suburb), and it's free concerts for the whole weekend. I am SO bummed that I'm going to be out of town.
